Meditating on Psalm 25:4
“Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths” (Psalm 25:4).
Good morning,
We live in a world where information and knowledge are as close as Google. We can go online and find out anything. Want to know how many grams of sugar are in Pop-Tarts? Google it. Do you want to know how often your car needs an oil change? Google it. Do you want to know how many light years Earth is from a distant star? Google it. Children can even Google to get the answers to their homework assignments.
With all this knowledge and information, there’s still one thing that eludes us: The ways of God. Oh, you can Google it, but you won’t get very far. God reserves that discussion for His children, and most of His answers are inexplicable. You can’t explain His answers; you just know them in your Spirit.
While you can’t Google the answers, you can ask God to show you and teach you His ways and paths. God has plans, visions, and resources that are beyond our comprehension. We simply need to trust in Him. We simply need to seek His face.
David asks God to teach him in Psalm 25:4. How about you? Do you desire God teach you His paths? I do. There are questions I have that no one but God can answer. I need solutions that only God can provide.
Seeking God early in the morning allows Him to give you the answers, solutions, and resources for the problems you’ll face in the upcoming day.
Prayer: Lord, we thank you for another day. We don’t know all the day will bring, but You do. So we place our faith in You and ask that You show us Your ways and paths today. Lead us and teach us, for you are our salvation. Lord, today, we wait on you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
