Mornings with God

Meditating on Psalm 22:19

“But be not thou far from me, O Lord:  O my strength, haste thee to help me” (Psalm 22:19).

Good morning,

Repeat after me:

I need God.  I need Him more than the air I breathe.  God is my breath.  He’s my life.  He’s my everything.  He’s my comforter.  He’s my protection.  I don’t know what I’d do without Him, and I don’t want to find out.

God is my best friend, my confidante, my source.  My relationship with Him is the most important one I have.  It’s also the most gratifying.

He’s always present, always ready to lend a listening ear.  He’s always prepared to offer sound advice and never seeks to hurt me.

He warms my heart and my soul. My soul yearns for Him.  My heart cries out to Him.  I need Him in my life.

I depend on Him and have found Him reliable and faithful.  He’s never far from me.  He strengthens me.  He makes haste to help me.  He’s my God.
