Mornings with God

Meditating on Psalm 25:17

“The troubles of my heart are enlarged:  O bring thou me out of my distresses” (Psalm 25:17).

Good morning,

Have you ever had one of those days where it seemed trouble was around every corner?  The bills are piling up, the kids’ report cards aren’t all that great, your job is stressful, and maybe your spouse is getting on your nerves.

David faced trouble too.  The words he penned in this verse sound like a prayer.  It sounds like something I would say.  Let this verse be your response to the distress you’re facing.  Don’t hide from your fears.  Don’t lash out at your family and friends.  Don’t drink away your problems.  Take them to God in prayer and trust Him for the resolution.  Trust Him to bring you out. Put your issues in His hands and watch Him comfort you and bring you out!

Look up to heaven and say in faith, “God, thank you for bringing me out!”
