Mornings with God

Meditating on Psalm 27:10

“When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up” (Psalm 27:10).

Good morning.

I grew up without my father and spent many years looking for a father figure.  My mom passed away four months after my 18 birthday, and I spent many years looking for a mother figure.

I was rejected and used along the way by many people because it wasn’t their responsibility to be mother and father to me.

My search for love and acceptance led me straight into God’s arms.  He waited patiently for me to realize that He had always been there, even when I was turning to idols.

Psalm 27:10 is a reminder to those who feel deserted, abandoned, or neglected by loved ones.  God will gather you to Himself, and He will be both mother and father to you.  He will be, He IS, what your soul needs.  Release, freedom, healing, deliverance, and acceptance are with Him.  Rest assured in His arms today.
