Meditating on Psalm 40:5
“Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered,” (Psalm 40:5).
Good morning,
Have you thought about God’s works and His thoughts toward you? David said they couldn’t be numbered.
I remember when I met my husband. I thought about him in the morning when I awakened. I thought about him during the day while I worked. I thought about him in the evening. Even if we weren’t talking about anything, we’d sit on the phone with nothing but silence. But it felt good to know he was there just in case I wanted to say something to him.
If I could think about a mere man that much, imagine how much more God thinks about us, His creation, His children.
Let me encourage you today. Regardless of how alone you feel, how neglected or forsaken, God is thinking good thoughts about you because He loves you. Take time to think about Him as well.
