“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose,” (Romans 8:28).
This is my favorite verse. I’ve stood on Romans 8:28 many times and will continue to stand on it. Nowhere in this verse does God promise everything we go through will feel good to us but He does promise they will work together for our good (for those who love God).
There’s victory in this verse. There’s hope in this verse. Those who stand on this verse and trust God to work everything together for their good will come out the other side of their challenges victorious.
Many of us wonder why we have to go through the afflictions and hardships we later need to overcome. The Christian life isn’t one free of struggles, trials, or challenges. This life is one in which we face and overcome hardships, with His help. Indeed, struggles, trials, and challenges are opportunities for us to witness for Christ.
Your trials and tests are presenting you with the same opportunity. Let God use you and them to manifest His works in the earth. Let your trials and tests work together for your good and God’s glory.
- Journal a situation in which you struggled to believe that all things would work together for your good.
- How can you KNOW that all things are working together for your good?
